Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC)

MEDC promotes economic development in Maharashtra, India's leading industrial state. UKISIF and MEDC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen economic cooperation between Maharashtra and the United Kingdom, focusing on investment, business engagement, innovation, trade and sustainable growth.

Founded in 1957 and based at Nariman Point, Mumbai, MEDC is an independent, apolitical think-tank that brings business, industry and the Government of Maharashtra together, and publishes research including its monthly economic digest.

Skama Shipping and Projects

Skama Shipping and Projects

Skama Shipping and Projects Ltd is a maritime and logistics company with operations across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar and Bangladesh. It provides ship agency, ocean freight, customs clearance, warehousing, ISO tank handling and project cargo, including heavy-lift and oversized equipment, and advises on greenfield port and terminal projects.

The partnership brings practical shipping and port-project expertise to UKISIF's maritime and logistics work. For UK–India projects, Skama can support members with project cargo and heavy-lift logistics for equipment moving to Indian ports and infrastructure sites. It also offers ship agency and customs support along the route, and advice on port and terminal projects linked to India's maritime build-out, including in Maharashtra.

CPI is a not-for-profit organisation built on three pillars: People, Partnership and Prosperity. It promotes trade, investment and opportunity across the Commonwealth.

The partnership connects UKISIF's corridor work with wider Commonwealth markets. UKISIF's Founder & Director is also Vice Chairman of CPI.
