1.1 www.ukindiasif.com (our site) is operated by UK India Strategic Investment Forum Ltd (UKISIF, we, us or our), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17074322. Our registered office is at Thames House, 3 Wellington Street, London, England, SE18 6NY.

1.2 UKISIF is a bilateral platform connecting UK and Indian businesses, governments and investors.

2.1 These terms of use refer to the following documents, which also apply to your use of our site:

(c) if you become a member, our Membership Terms, which govern your membership.

2.2 If there is any conflict between these terms and our Membership Terms, the Membership Terms take priority for matters relating to membership.

3.1 We may amend these terms from time to time. Please check this page each time you use our site to see the current terms. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.

3.2 We may update and change our site at any time, for example to reflect changes to our services, partners and events.

4. Accessing our site

4.1 Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of our site for business or operational reasons.

4.2 Our site is directed at businesses, professionals and organisations in the United Kingdom and India. Content may not be appropriate for, or available in, other locations.

5.2 We may suspend or block your access to our site if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.

6.1 The content on our site, including news, research, reports, event materials and sector insights, is provided for general information only. It is not legal, tax, financial, investment or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such.

6.2 Nothing on our site is an offer, invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity, or a recommendation to buy or sell any investment. UKISIF is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

6.3 You should obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action based on the content of our site.

6.4 Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our site up to date, we make no representation or guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current. Information about government policy, trade agreements and regulation in the UK and India changes frequently.

7. Introductions, partners and third-party opportunities

7.1 Our site may describe our strategic partners, member organisations, government bodies, events and business opportunities in the UK and India. These references are for information only. Unless we expressly say otherwise, they are not an endorsement or guarantee by UKISIF.

7.2 Where we introduce you to another party, any arrangement you enter into is solely between you and that party. You are responsible for carrying out your own due diligence and taking your own professional advice.

7.3 Logos and names of partners and other organisations shown on our site are used with permission and remain the property of their owners.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site and in the material published on it, including text, graphics, logos, reports and the UKISIF name and branding. All such rights are reserved.

(b) you acknowledge UKISIF as the source; and

9.1 When you submit information through our contact or membership forms, you confirm that it is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it, including any details about your organisation or colleagues.

9.2 We will use any personal data you submit in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9.3 Please do not send us confidential or commercially sensitive information through our website forms. If you need to share such information, contact us first so we can agree a suitable method and, where appropriate, a confidentiality agreement.

10.1 Where our site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources and accept no responsibility for them.

10.2 You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement by us where none exists.

11.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising under or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, our site, or reliance on any content displayed on it. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

11.3 If you are a consumer: our site is intended for business use. If you use it for any commercial or business purpose, we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. Your statutory rights are not affected.

12.1 We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own technology to access our site and should use your own virus protection software.

12.2 We will report any breach of paragraph 5.1(d) or 5.1(e) to the relevant law enforcement authorities and will co-operate with them, including by disclosing your identity where required.

13. General

13.1 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13.2 If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or delay taking action, this does not mean that we have waived our rights.

13.3 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

14.1 These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales.

14.2 The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our site. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
